In order to implement the EU acquis or provisions relating to the entry and stay of aliens in Slovenia and the entry of third-country nationals into the territory of the Member States of the Schengen area, as well as the provision of data on the situation, movement of aliens and decision-making on the rights and obligations of aliens under the Aliens Act, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or diplomatic missions and consular posts of the Republic of Slovenia abroad keep a record of visas, which contains a large number of data classified by individual groups: Schengen visa previously issued, applicant data, passport, guarantor, travel data, visa issuing procedure, visa extension procedure, status of application, endorsement, verification and vis.
