Images of the Landsat 5 satellite captured by the sensor TM (Thematic Mapper), which have been calculated using the Normal Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI-Normalised Difference Vegetation Index), which is based on the contrast between the red and infrared bands close to the spectrum, highlights the plant coverage and its vigour over large areas.
