NDVI seasonal historical mean calculated from NOAA satellite images captured by the AVHRR (Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer) sensor. The AVHRR sensor collects information in 5 spectral bands: visible, near-infrared and 3 thermal infrared, all with a resolution of 1 000 m. The historical seasonal average of 2009 NDVI is calculated from the historical monthly averages, grouping December 93-08, January and February 93-09 in winter; March, April and May 93-09 in spring; June, July and August 93-09 in summer; September, October and November 93-09 in autumn.
