Dataset description

Hydrography is a subject of Annex I of the Inspire Directive (http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:L:2007:108:0001:0014:ES:PDF) and is a subject of Annex I, Geographic Reference Information, to the LISIGE Act(http://www.idee.es/resources/leyes/Ley_LISIGE.pdf). The hydrography layer group starts from a service WMS 1.3.0 of the Instituto Geográfico Nacional de España that complies with the definition of Inspire and its Implementing Rules in relation to the requirements of a display service and the type of symbolism to be used. Contains the following Inspire layers: 1- Hydrographic network, Inspire layer with data from BCN500, BTN100 and BTN25. The BNC500 hydrographic network is shown at scales below 1:500,000; BTN100‘s between 1:500,000 and 1:50.000 and BTN25’s, over 1:50.000. 2- Artificial object, Inspire layer that represents artificial channels and hydrographic constructions. Data from BTN100 and BTN25. The hydrographic objects of BTN100 are shown at scales less than 1:50.000 and those of BTN25, above 1:50.000. 3- Masses of water, Inspire layer representing reservoirs, lagoons, salt marshes, marshes, buffers, pipes, rims, ramblas and other types of water bodies. Data from BCN500, BTN100 and BTN25. The water bodies of BCN500 are shown at scales below 1:500,000; those of BTN100 between 1:500,000 and 1:50.000 and those of BTN25, over 1:50.000. The visualisation of these layers is done through two styles one as set by Inspire and the other defined by the IGN.
