Protected sites is a subject of Annex I of the Inspire Directive (http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:L:2007:108:0001:0014:ES:PDF) and is a subject of Annex I, Geographical Reference Information, to the LISIGE Act(http://www.idee.es/resources/leyes/Ley_LISIGE.pdf)
The group of layers “Protected Places” is part of a service WMS 1.3.0 of the Instituto Geográfico Nacional de España that complies with the definition of Inspire and its Implementing Rules in relation to the requirements of a display service and the type of symbolism to be used
“Protected places” groups the following Inspire layers:
1- Protected places-Natural conservation: Data from BCN500 and BTN100 (SPA, SCI, Natural Park, National Park and others).
2- Protected-Cultural Places: Data from BTN100 (Monument, Religious Building, Castle, Unique Building, World Heritage Site, Cave, Historic Site, Historic Garden, Historical-Artistic Complex) and BTN25 (walls and aqueducts).
3- Protected Sites — Archaeology: Data from BTN100 and BTN25. Archaeological sites from BTN100 are shown at scales of less than 1:50.000 and those of BTN25 above 1:50.000.
The display of the Inspire layers of the “Protected Places” theme is done through a style set by Inspire in the Data Specification on Protected Sites (INSPIRE Data Specification on Protected Sites).
The visualisation of the IGN layers is performed through two styles one as set by Inspire and the other defined by the IGN.
