Andalusian inventory of Georrecursos. 2004

The inventory of Georrecursos de Andalucía, published in 2004, represents the first phase of the Andalusian Strategy for the Conservation of Geodiversity. The 588 areas of geological interest cataloged have been classified into 11 categories, with the most frequent being geomophologic and sedimentalogical (more than 40 %). The other categories correspond to a stratigraphic, paleontological, petrological, cavities, hydrogeological, geomining, tectonic, mineralogical and geoarchaeological interest. For protection reasons, grids show the approximate location of 18 paleontological or mineralogical sites considered extremely fragile. Includes a CD-ROM with an informative application.
