Evaluation of Agroecological Resources at scale 1:10.000 in various pilot areas of the Principality of Asturias

The information contained shows the agro-ecological assessment of certain territorial units of the Principality of Asturias in two distinct areas. On the one hand, in areas of vegas and reperesentative valleys of some of the areas of greatest agricultural interest in Asturias, and on the other hand, an area of mainly forest use, characteristic of the Asturian West. In short, the purpose of this information is to define the suitability that a given territory, considered as a model or “pilot zone”, has for the establishment of various agricultural uses, both forestry and agricultural. The aim is to establish which of the uses evaluated are the most suitable in a given territory (in this case pilot areas) depending on the characteristics of the existing natural soils, their climatic conditions and their geomorphological conditions, and thus establish an objective basis for the development of sustainable agricultural uses.
