Inventory of mining operations in Andalusia. 2005

Third update of the inventory of mining operations carried out by the Ministry of the Environment. Data for 2004-2005. It contains a database with information of all active and inactive mining operations in Andalusia. Although it includes administrative data from the farm, the information collected focuses on physical-environmental aspects identified during the fieldwork phase. The information is georefended on the digital orthophoto of Andalucia B/N of 2002 with resolution 0.5 m. In addition to the inventory, it includes a memoir, cartography and photographs of the farms. Another product of this work (currently under development) is a computer application for information management. The environmental information contained in this inventory is the result of specific field visits to the different farms and has been obtained from visual inspection and interviews with those responsible for them. Therefore, it does not constitute any type of assessment or environmental impact assessment derived from the application of environmental prevention procedures regulated in the current legislation.
