Dataset description

The total number of deaths among CAPV women in the study period was 68,246. From 1990 to 2004, age-adjusted mortality rates had an average annual decrease of 1.7 per cent, so life expectancy at birth had increased from 81.2 years in 1990 to 84.7 years in 2005. The geographical pattern of all-cause mortality in the CAPV showed great variability, with higher mortality in the areas of Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and the three capitals.
