Areas of activity for the elderly

In this dataset are all Senior Areas, except those found in Historical Parks. In recent years, major areas in all districts are being installed in the City of Madrid. This initiative began at the end of 2001 on an experimental basis and consisted of the creation and development, by different companies as well as specialist physiotherapists, of different elements of exercise intended for our elders. These areas are proposed as urban meeting spaces of our elders who at the same time carry out the exercises, have a place of socialisation, being a stimulus to improve their quality of life. NOTE: Since 2019 the structure of the files has been changed when extracting the information from the MINT system.
