Covid-19 mortality rate by basic health areas

Number of people who died after COVID-19 diagnosis (confirmed and compatible with the disease) by number of health cards in each basic health area. Since March 1, 2021, all those people who have in the three months prior to the death a positive PDIA test in their Primary Care Electronic Clinical History are counted in this table. Accrued data since 1 March 2020. The diagnosis of COVID-19 prior to death does not imply that this disease is necessarily the basic cause of death in all cases. The data contained in this table do not constitute the official death mortality statistics published by the National Institute of Statistics. Daily mortality data in hospitals are found in the dataset. Since August 15, 2020, the calculation of the fees is carried out taking into account the population of health cards registered on that date.
