Dataset description

In this unit, the Spanish literature of the fifteenth century is studied as a transition between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. You can see the general characteristics of popular poetry with Romancero and the cultured poetry of the songmakers, the Marquis of Santillana and Jorge Manrique. The attention is focused on Fernando de Rojas’s La Celestina as a work of transition and the different aspects of the work are analysed as the problems of authorship and editing, genre, themes, characters and formal characteristics.
