To speak of the current world is to speak of a world system determined by globalisation, which is an economic, social, cultural and political phenomenon that generates interdependencies between countries. Globalisation is present in different areas of our daily lives: advertising has generated a global trade that favours the acquisition and consumption of the same products (cars, food, travel, etc.); science and culture have also become global, as scientific advances and artistic and literary productions spread very easily. But this globalisation has its risks, and while it favors the transmission of a culture and a system of consumption, it also favors the spread of certain diseases (such as AIDS) and the spread of terrorism, both of which are facilitated by geographical mobility and the speed of communications.
