Employment Observatory. Business Fabric Observatory

The Observatory of Local Business Tissue is an instrument with which to improve the knowledge of the socio-economic context of the city of Gijón, in order to facilitate the design of the strategies to be implemented in the field of economic development and employment. Specifically, this Observatory seeks to collect information on employment (number of people hired, qualification, typology of contracts), economic activity (sector, billing, suppliers, market to which it is directed, R & D & I, level of penetration of ICT) and the needs and demands of local companies (continuous training necessary, future hiring, profiles, demand for industrial equipment, among others). In 2015 a first study was carried out for the development of the Local Business Tissue Observatory that allowed an approach to the reality of the business fabric of Gijonese, and that had its continuation through the study carried out in 2017.
