Dataset description
The flights of the annual orthophotos of the Basque Country, with a high overlap between frames, allow to build a Digital Model of Tree Deck Surface. Various methods make it possible to calculate the dominant height, which is defined as the average height of the 100 tallest trees per hectare. This dominant height, calculated each year, allows to estimate forest productivity, since variables such as biomass or timber stocks are usually related to that dominant height in a given year or to its increase between two consecutive years.
