The identification of geographical milestones — countries, cities, regions — is essential when addressing the cataloguing of a cultural good. This Geographical Dictionary, which locates the main geographical facts spread across the five continents, including their seas and oceans, is a fundamental tool for this identification and description of cultural heritage collections, allowing each cultural asset to be individualised based on its place of origin, production, emission and acquisition, as well as completing its contextualisation with reference geographical descriptors. More than 46,000 terms are offered in LOD for consultation, download and link. Various functionalities are presented, such as SPARQL consultation point, alphabetical and hierarchical search of terms, as well as 49,452 links to other information resources (List of Headings of Matter for Public Libraries of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, List of Heads of Matter of the Library of Catalonia, the national libraries of France, Holland and Germany, the thesaurus of Getty Research Institute, Library of the American Congress, Dbpedia and Geonames).
