Dataset description
The estimated current speeds from HF radar are representative of the upper 0.3-2.5 meters of the ocean. The main goal of near-real-time processing is to produce the best product from data available at the time of processing. Radial speed measurements are obtained from each of the individual radars of the Galician HF Radar Network. Hourly radial data are processed by unweighted least squares in a grid of 6 km resolution of the Galician coast to produce near real-time maps of surface currents.
