Index of consumer prices and rates of change according to special groups by autonomous communities and periods: This table publishes the Index of Consumer Prices (CPI) in base 2016, in addition to its rates of change monthly, annual and so far this year. The changes in the CPI reflect the increases (inflation) and decreases (deflation) that occur at the general price level. The results are broken down according to the special groups present in the European classification of goods and services ECOICOP-HICP (European Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose adapted to the needs of the Harmonised Indices of Consumer Prices), as well as by autonomous communities and months. Within these special groups, the overall index, excluding energy and unprocessed foods, stands out, which allows us to analyse what is known as core inflation.
