The database of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Andalusia is a consultation of the Management and Information System of Cultural Property of Andalusia (MOSAICO) and is disseminated through the Digital Guide to Cultural Heritage of Andalusia. Its main source of information is the Atlas of Intangible Heritage of Andalusia.
Registered cultural goods are grouped into four broad areas or thematic categories: festive rituals, trades and knowledge, modes of expression; food and culinary systems. However, they are not watertight compartments but have a holistic and integrative vision of Cultural Heritage that allows the information integrated in each area to be linked with others and with the spaces and objects that are inherent to it, whether of a movable or immovable character. The Intangible Heritage Atlas register is extensive and open. In each region there have been some examples of the dominant typologies selected in view of their identity value and always taking into account the assessment given by the population along with their level of representativeness. This selection will always be open to the participatory incorporation of new registers, counting on the groups involved and the social agents as registrars and identifiers of their Intangible Heritage in accordance with the Convention on the Safeguarding of Intangible Heritage (UNESCO, Paris, 2003). To this end, the IAPH has launched the Network of Intangible Heritage Informants and Registrars of Andalusia, currently included in the [Network of Information Agents of Cultural Heritage of Andalusia](https://www.juntadeandalucia.es/organismos/iaph/areas/documentacion-patrimonio/red-agentes-informantes.html “Network of Information Agents of Cultural Heritage of Andalusia”). Through it, any citizen will be able to send as much information as they deem necessary to update or enrich the records currently available in the database or incorporate new ones.
The IAPH has had the collaboration of several institutions to carry out the Atlas of Intangible Heritage: the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco, the Andalusian Studies Centre, the Spanish Cultural Heritage Institute, the General Secretariat of Culture, the Rural Development Groups of Andalusia, the Andalusian Universities, and fundamentally, the informants and protagonists of the intangible heritage identified. It also contains information about protected or inscribed goods in the General Catalogue of the Historical Heritage of Andalusia. All this is available at the service of the groups involved in intangible heritage, research, companies, administrations, as well as citizens in general. Consultations on the eight Andalusian provinces and their municipalities are possible. These have been grouped during the process of recording information in supra-municipal entities or regions, which can also be used as a search criterion.
