Dataset description

The map of the SIOSE of the Basque Country is part of the database of the Information System of Soil Occupation of Spain that is based on SPOT5 images of the year 2005 with reference scale 1:25,000. The SIOSE is part of the National Plan for Observation of the Territory in Spain and collects information from the existing land use databases of the General Administration of the State and the Autonomous Communities. This project was created by the collaboration of: — Ministry of Development — Ministry of Environment — Ministry of Economy and Finance — Ministry of Agriculture — Ministry of Defence — Ministry of Housing — Ministry of Education and Science — National Geographical Information Centre and Autonomous Communities.
