“The Ministry of Finance carries out on an annual basis several publications that aim to provide the figures that characterise and define local finances in Spain. The data come from the settlements of the budgets of the local authorities and the financial relations between them and the General State Administration. This publication contains information on transfers to local authorities whose management is the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance. It does not include those that are managed from other ministerial departments or from other sections of the General State Budgets in favour of them. This publication is available online from 2004 to year n-2, being n the current year. This is because the final liquidation of participation in the State taxes, the information of which is included in Local Finances in Figures, is calculated 2 years after each financial year.”
