Monitoring of lepidoptera in Spanish national parks

It contains information on lepidopteran monitoring transects in peninsular and Balearic national parks. The initiative is pending implementation in the Canary Islands national parks. The monitoring is carried out by the national parks themselves or their collaborating entities, and the Autonomous Agency National Parks promotes the development and implementation of common monitoring protocols, in particular the BMS (Butterfly Monitoring Scheme), as well as the dissemination of the results. The data are obtained in the censuses carried out in each park, and collected in the model field sheet of BMS Spain. The initiative is integrated into the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan of the National Parks Network.
