Municipal parking for residents. Areas of influence

Madrid City Council owns a wide network of public car parks for residents and mixed car parks (rotation/residents), through which it makes available to Madriders a total of almost ninety-nine thousand underground parking spaces. These parking lots are managed, for the most part, by different companies under indirect management through the corresponding contract for the concession of services, although sixteen of them are the subject of direct management by the City Council, through the Municipal Transport Company of Madrid, S.A. Natural persons who, having a vehicle, reside in fact and are registered in the area of influence established for each parking lot, as well as, in some specific cases, traders in the area or legal persons who have work centres in these areas of influence, can access the use of these spaces.
