Parties: Cultural manifestations declared BIC with the category of Inmaterial Good in Castilla-La Mancha

Law 4/2013 on Cultural Heritage of Castilla-La Mancha, which aims at the conservation, protection and enrichment of the existing cultural heritage in the region. The Article on definitions, in particular 1.2, expressly states: “The cultural heritage of Castilla-La Mancha consists of movable property, immovable property and intangible manifestations, with historical, artistic, archaeological, paleontological, ethnographic, industrial, scientific, technical, documentary or bibliographic value of interest for Castilla-La Mancha.” In order to guarantee their conservation, the most prominent goods possessing these values may be declared assets of cultural interest, in accordance with the provisions of Article 8(c) of the aforementioned Law, with the category of intangible property, in order to recognise those: “Living cultural manifestations associated with a human group and endowed with collective significance.”
