Port service areas of Spain

Port service areas of ports of general interest of the State include cartographic and alphanumeric information of the land service area and water zone I and II. The Spanish Port System of State ownership consists of 46 ports of general interest, managed by 28 Port Authorities, whose coordination and efficiency control is the responsibility of the State Ports Public Agency, an organ under the Ministry of Public Works and which is responsible for implementing the Government’s port policy. The basic implementing legislation is the Recast Text of the Law on State Ports and Merchant Navy, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2011 of 5 September 2011 and supplemented by the Coastal Law.
