Renewable CyL: sensitivity steppe birds

ZONES OF ENVIRONMENTAL SENSITIVITY FOR STEPPE BIRDS IN CASTILLA Y LEÓN. Cartographic information with areas of environmental sensitivity for steppe birds (avutarda, seson, Iberian ganga, ortega ganga, ricoti lark, alcaraván and cernícalo primilla) in Castilla y León. In order to provide initial information on the environmental sensitivity of steppe birds to the generation of renewable energy projects in the Spanish territory of León, a map has been prepared on this group of steppe birds, which seeks to serve as guidance to promoters on the areas in which they may be evaluating the suitability for the design and location of potential renewable energy projects, especially solar photovoltaic energy. The submission of this information does not replace the relevant environmental impact assessment procedures for projects or prejudge the results of the corresponding environmental impact statements, since they are offered only to facilitate an early assessment from the early stages of defining a potential renewable energy project on the impact of a specific group of species with high environmental sensitivity.
