It is a web platform to acquire, process, store, distribute and improve the use of geospatial information. The Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) of the Guadalquivir, Ceuta and Melilla river basin districts is managed by the Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation, and its ultimate purpose is to facilitate knowledge of the complex geographical reality of these demarcations; as well as facilitating citizens and businesses to exploit the potential of such information, which can be reused by natural or legal persons and enhance relationships with users through a greater presence on the web, making use of a set of standards, protocols and specifications for interoperability, in line with the specifications of the European Directive Infraestructure for Spatial Information in Europe (INSPIRE) (Directive 2007/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council).
The IDE has tools to visualise cartography (Web Viewers), to perform information searches (Catalogue, Nomenclator) as well as to consult data about demarcations and download files.
