Their protection is covered by Directive 92/43/EEC or Habitats Directive. This data set shows its geographical breadth, evaluated in the period 2013 to 2018, according to the information provided by the competent administrations. The extent of this distribution is a key factor in knowing its territorial trends and thus contributing to maintaining or achieving a favourable conservation area in the biogeographical region as a whole.
