Dataset description

Estimate of actual annual rainfall for the normal period 1961-1990. The analysis is based on averages of approximately 1250 observation sites. Actual precipitation means that the measured precipitation has been corrected for various measurement errors. However, in the mountains, with its large local elevation differences, the analysis is simplified. The map is published in Sweden’s National Atlas Climate, lakes and streams.
