The data product includes data on Bygdeväg in Sweden. Village roads are roads with a lane for cars
and two extra wide roads for walking and cycling. The aim is to facilitate walking and
cyclists. Cars should be able to temporarily use roadsides in meetings with other cars. It is also
meant that the speed should be lower on Bygdevägen in order to create a good traffic environment.
The data product contains information on the width of the roadside and whether the roadsides are of a different colour
towards the car lane which is in the middle of the road. The term “by-environmental road” is used synonymously with Bygdeväg, e.g. in
municipal planning.
Perimeters shall be marked with the warning mark A5 supplemented by the additional boards T4 (width of:
driving lanes) and T1 (extension of distance marked as a district road).
In case of taper/hour glass, the X3 marking screen shall be used. The wall width shall be ≥ 0.75 m.
Road marking M2 shall be 0.2 m, for marking between the road and the car lane.
Village roads should only be on the car network. M.a.o. no bicycle network shall be registered on Bygdeväg.
The purpose of the data product is, among other things, to be able to identify Bygdeväg in connection with:
procurement and implementation of maintenance measures, as well as for cycle route planning.
