GE.Berggund 1:1 million is a simplified and transformed version of SGU’s product Berggrund 1:1 million to meet Inspire data specification for Geology theme by coding according to GeoSciML 4.1. The bedrock map is a two-dimensional model of the bedrock’s top surface and gives an overview of the main features of Sweden’s bedrock. The product describes the distribution of different bedrock units, material composition and geological events that have affected the units. Deformation zones as faults are also reported. The product is adapted for presentation in a scale of 1:1 million, which means that the information is heavily generalised.
