Dataset description
The display service Geophysical soil measurements, gravity interpolated shows the variations in Sweden’s gravity field, expressed as Bougueranomali. From point-to-point gravity measurements throughout Sweden, Bougue anomalies (mGal) have been calculated in the reference field RG82. These have since been gridded with the cell size 500 m x 500 m.
Measurements of gravity make it possible to map variations in mass distribution in the Earth’s crust. These variations are due to differences in the composition of the bedrock.
