Dataset description
Groundwater 1:1 million reproduces the main features of Sweden’s groundwater resources in rock and soil. Because it is based on groundwater maps of different scales, ages and quality, the accuracy varies. The information has been developed for presentation in a scale of 1:1 million, which means that some groundwater resources have been widely generalised. For example, the ridges are greatly exaggerated for them to appear clearly. The extraction possibilities in mountains are based on capacity data from rock drilled wells in SGU’s well archive
