Consists of several map layers of national environmental data from a number of IT systems that the County Administrative Boards use and manage jointly.
The IT support is:
• Nikita — The County Administrative Board’s processing aid for environmentally hazardous activities. (replaces Miljöreda)
• EBH aid — County Administrative Board’s processing aid for post-clearance treatment of contaminated sites.
• Measures in Water — County Administrative Board’s reporting and follow-up system for measures implemented in water.
• Biotopmapping database — County Administrative Board’s application for input and compilation of inventory data for biotop-charted watercourses (according to special methodology).
• Nors — National Register of Sea Sample Fish (SLU)
• SERS — The database for exploratory fishing in watercourses (Swedish Electrical Fishing Register) (SLU)
• Consultation structures in fish management at regional and local level in Sweden
The map layers are:
• Environmentally hazardous activities and energy dry extraction operations subject to a permit in operation. Contains A, B and T facilities with status Operation, Planned, Unstarted, After-treatment. Not establishments where the general doctor is responsible for supervision. The respective county administrative boards are responsible for information on establishments in their county. Source: The county administrative boards’ processing aid (Nikita) for the supervision of environmentally hazardous activities.
• Potentially contaminated sites; Contaminated soil, groundwater, surface water, sediments and buildings. Please note that the map does not provide an overall picture of the country’s contaminated areas. More information on contaminated areas may be found at other authorities such as municipalities, the Swedish Armed Forces and the Transport Administration. The areas are identified and classified by the County Administrative Boards on behalf of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and using the MIFO methodology (Metodik for Inventory of Polluted Areas), Environmental Protection Agency’s report 4918. The county administrative boards of the country have been working on inventory of potentially contaminated areas since the 1990s. The purpose of the inventory is to create an image of which areas are or may be contaminated. Based on the results of the inventory, it is then prioritised for further work to investigate and remediate.
• Implemented measures in water, include physical actions carried out in and around watercourses. For example, biotope care and fish restocking.
• Fish routes, contains information on existing fish routes e.g. type of fish path, height of fall and when the fish route was put into service.
• Migratory obstacles to fish, such as ponds, natural barriers (waterfalls) and road drums;
• Hiking obstacles to trout, assessment if trout can overcome the obstacles.
• Nors — catch data from SLU’s database for exploratory fishing in lakes (https://www.slu.se/institutioner/akvatiska-resurser/databaser/databas-for-sjoprovfiske-nors/)
• SERS — catch data from SLU’s database for exploratory fishing in watercourses (https://www.slu.se/institutioner/akvatiska-resurser/databaser/elfiskeregistret/)
• LST consultation structures fish management — general waters. The Agency for Marine and Water Management (HaV) has primary right of regulation. In this respect, consultation structures are advisory bodies with a view to providing input for decisions on fisheries management issues.
• LST consultation structures fish management -individual water. Water areas with mainly individual fish rights. In this respect, consultation structures are advisory bodies with a view to providing input for decisions on fisheries management issues.
The contents of the map layers are updated on a daily basis. However, not “consultation structures of fish management”, which are only updated as necessary.
