Fiskekartan.se contains layers of Sweden’s fishing areas. The layer is comprehensive and should contain all areas. In southern Sweden, the respective waters have usually been digitised by collecting lakes and streams from the property map’s water layers. In northern Sweden, the areas are usually significantly larger and in those areas the outer boundaries of the areas are shown instead of individual input waters. The layer has been produced by the County Administrative Board in Jönköping County and is continuously corrected if errors occur. The boundaries of the areas have been digitised from the fisheries conservation areas’ decisions on formation, statutes and ordinance maps. Since then, the County Administrative Board and the fishing area association have been given the opportunity to review the digitised border. There may be minor inaccuracies in the limits.
