The layer is developed within the framework of the project “LEIF in practice, Living Ecosystem I the Future — from theoretical basis to practical advice”. A density analysis identified areas that reach thresholds for habitat quantity, i.e. where a sufficient number of suitable trees are found within a 25 square kilometre area for the survival of species in the landscape. Areas with sufficient habitat quantity are shown in green, the darker the greater the habitat amount. Yellow areas show where suitable habitats are found but in too little quantity to reach the threshold. Outside green and yellow areas, no suitable habitats have been invented.
