National Park Plan — Display Service (WMS)

In the National Park Plan for Sweden (2008), the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency presents a long-term plan with new and expanded national parks. The selection was based on the Environmental Code’s regulations, international and Swedish criteria for national parks. The National Park Plan represents a top layer of major valuable areas in the country. The plan is to see as a comprehensive account of areas that, according to the current assessment, are suitable for inclusion in the country’s network of national parks. It thus has more character of a wish list or action plan for the establishment of national parks than as a plan for implementation. The boundaries of the areas are approximate.
