National soil cover data 2018; base layer

National Land Cover Data (NMD) is a comprehensive mapping of Sweden. The aim is to get basic information about the landscape and how it changes. The mapping was carried out in 2017-February 2019 and thereafter the plans are for data to be updated every 5 years. The NMD consists of a base mapping of 25 thematic classes in three hierarchical levels. The mapping is in raster format at 10 meters resolution and with a minimum mapping unit down to 0.01 hectares. In addition to the base mapping, the following additional layers are included: — object height and coverage productivity (forest productivity) — land use — low mountain forest For these additional layers there are separate metadata descriptions and download services.
