The data product refers to carrying capacity classification on the road taken from regulations on load bearing class in accordance with Chapter 4, Section 11 of the Traffic Ordinance (1998:1276). The data product consists of the Variety phenomenon that belongs to the product group NVDB and the product subgroup Traffic Regulation Types in NVDB.The data product is registered on the car network, where the road operator is state or municipal. The aim is to show which load-bearing class is available on state and municipal roads and streets. The bearing capacity indicates the maximum load, single or accumulated, which can be accepted with regard to the occurrence of cracks and deformations. Bearing capacity is divided into five different load-bearing classes and is given in the unit tone. Buoyancy can also vary with season because of frosting. Customers can use the data product to assess accessibility, e.g. in navigation and route planning applications to select the roads with the highest load bearing class.
