NZ.Natural risk areas, Skredrisk mapping other priority rivers.WMS

Skredrisk, probability, and impact maps developed with a slightly simpler methodology than in the Gäu Göta River investigation. Mapping is nevertheless based on a large amount of digital data. Norsälven (2015) was the first watercourse to which this simplified methodology was applied. The methodological development has been carried out in order to reduce investigation costs and simplify the interpretation of the maps, thereby increasing the usability of the results. The methodology for risk mapping that has been developed is applicable for scabbard mapping along other watercourses — e.g. Säveån (2017) and Ångermanälven (later). As each watercourse is clearly mapped, it will be added to the “other priority rivers”. Both the methodology for probability classification and impact classification can be used separately, the methodology for impact classification can also be used for mapping other natural events. Used in prioritising measures, before planning new buildings and planning of measures for existing settlements.
