Dataset description

SGI The Swedish Institute of Geotechnical Engineering (SGI) is the government’s expert body in matters of debris, race and beach erosion and helps to reduce risks in the geotechnical field in society. The starting point for the activity is that people should be able to live on a safe basis, so that life and property are not wasted in the event of natural accidents of the type of rubble and race or in the case of beach erosion. SGI’s Skreddatabas (SGI’s Skreddatabas) is a compilation of the wreck, breed and other earth movements in Sweden and the corresponding description of the type of event, scope, location, etc. — see further SGI Varia 512. Number of objects Nov 2016: 1501 pcs. Some larger skreds have a more detailed description (cause, course of events, experience feedback, etc.) in MSB’s Natural Accident Database. [Geotechnology]
