Dataset description

Open services (WMS, WFS and REST-API) against the nature conservation register. The National Conservation Register contains protected areas in accordance with Chapter 7 of the Environmental Code. It includes the following protection types: National Parks, Nature Reserves, Municipal Nature Reserves, Nature Conservation Areas, Animal and Plant Protection Areas, Natural Memories, Biotopic Conservation Areas and Interim Bans adopted by the Municipality or County Administrative Board, Water Protection Areas, Cultural Reserves, Landscape Image Protection Areas and Forest Biotopic Protection Areas. The service includes valid decisions (decisions that have become final) as well as decisions on nature reserves that have not yet become final (decision status decided) or appealed (decision status appealed). In addition, access bans are also reported in protected areas. In the following counties, there are currently shortcomings in adjournment with regard to access bans, and because of this, access bans are not reported in the counties: Södermanland, Örebro, Gotland and Stockholm (4 pcs). The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and the county administrative boards continuously register decisions in the register. The Swedish Forest Agency’s decision on biotope conservation areas is transferred twice a week to the nature conservation register. The service is updated every night.
