Railway data for noise calculations

The rail data product for noise calculations is a compilation of networked railway data for use in noise calculation programmes. The data product includes data sets for noise protection, level crossings, track data and scheduled rail traffic according to the timetable for the year in question. The purpose of the data product is to provide the Transport Administration with a standardised basis for noise calculations, which in turn provides more efficient and safer handling of information in noise investigations. Data are generated and delivered using the same processes. In the long term, the comparability of noise assessments is also expected to improve. For track-related data, this means that deliveries to acoustic consultants, among others, contain the same type of data regardless of the part of the country where a noise assessment is carried out and irrespective of the customer.
