Dataset description

Resting place means a side facility for road users’ need for rest, toilet visits, recreation or the like. The Swedish Transport Administration’s rest areas must maintain a minimum standard for the extent of equipment on the site in accordance with guidelines in the VGU. The above is the basic equipment for a resting place and is therefore implicitly included in its definition. The purpose of the data product is to show where there are rest areas along the road network and what equipment is available.
