Purpose: Describes current weather and over time the climate. Basis for climate studies and forecast verification. Unit: mm Characteristics: Precipitation measured at manual and automatic measuring stations. The rainfall is measured at 06 UTC and refers to the accumulated amount over 24 hours, i.e. then at 06 UTC the previous day. The measurement is thus more representative of the day before. If the precipitation has fallen in solid form, it is melted before measurement. Design: Date, time, value and quality. Quality codes: Green = Verified and accepted values. Yellow = Suspected values, aggregated values, roughly controlled archive data and uncontrolled real-time data (last 2 hours).
