Dataset description

Propagation layer for the calculated maximum flow rate/level corresponding to threat maps/risk maps for the areas with significant flood risk according to the Flood Risks Ordinance (SFS 2009:956) 2018. For watercourses there is only a distribution layer for a demarcated area and not the entire watercourse. If an area is identified from the sea and there is also a watercourse or lake in the area, there are also threat maps/risk maps developed for these. For watercourses and lakes, calculations are used for today’s climate while for the sea the calculations have been climate adapted to the end of the century where land elevation is included. The data set is the result of the revision of Stage 2 for Cycle 2 (2019) of the Floods Directive, but also for Stage 2 of Cycle 1 (2013) is also included in the data set and it did not include floods from the sea as they do in the revision of Stage 2 for Cycle 2 (2019). For watercourses, a 2 dimensional hydraulic model has been used to develop the distribution. For the sea, Lake Vänern, Vättern and Lake Mälaren, an analysis of altitude has been used. Which cycle or threat map is in from is shown in the attribute table.
