The ARAMIS information system has been in operation since 1997 and systematically records research, innovation and evaluation projects funded or conducted by the Confederation. It was set up following a number of parliamentary procedural requests demanding greater transparency and improved cooperation in federal government research.
ARAMIS serves as a database application in which research proposals and Federal Administration evaluations are displayed as individual or linked projects. In addition to basic information such as the title and duration, these projects also contain descriptions of the project’s objectives, final reports and financial information. The database is intended to provide information for the public and serve as a basis for statistical and in-depth evaluations.
