Special agricultural zones under the Spatial Planning Act enable agricultural uses that would not be feasible in the normal agricultural zone (Article 16a(3)). The aim is to enable agriculture to have larger soil-independent production facilities for plants and animals. These are legally those cases where buildings and installations and their planned use go beyond the so-called internal increase. According to the Cantonal Indicative Plan, special agricultural zones may not be excreted in the following seven exclusion areas (indicative plan chapter 1-1-1/6): — in nationally protected landscapes outside the building zone (BLN areas) — in protected landscapes of cantonal importance, except in the vicinity of an existing farm — in zones and for objects of cantonal and national importance — in dry meadows and pastures of national importance (TWW priority areas) — in water and migratory bird reserves — in groundwater protection zones S1-S3 (planning water protection in force) — in material mining areas; — in open-air areas (according to municipal use planning) — in construction development areas and reserve zones (according to municipal use planning) The exclusion areas are an orientation framework and are not mapped in the parcel.
