COVID_19 Case figures Canton of Zurich from 27.2.2020 to 3.1.2023

The case numbers include those tested in the Canton of Zurich. The data will be updated once a week (each on Wednesday). From 9 March 2020, a new test regime was applied: Only people who showed severe symptoms, had an increased risk of complications or were in direct contact with patients or residents of old-age and nursing homes were tested. Since April 27, 2020, the Federal Office of Health BAG also recommends testing individuals who show symptoms of acute respiratory disease, have muscle pain or loss of smell or taste. The test costs have not been covered by the federal government since January 1, 2023. Thus, a reduction in the number of tests carried out and an increase in the number of cases is expected. For this reason, the update of test and case numbers will be discontinued as of 3.1.2023.
