Digital Surface Model (DOM) — 2014

In the project “Aerial Photography42”, the Department of Geoinformation of the Office for Spatial Development ARE of the Canton of Zurich produces a high-resolution laser scanning (LIDAR, median dot density of 8 pts/m²) for the creation of the digital surface model (DOM ZH) and the digital terrain model (DTM ZH). It shows the earth’s surface with all permanent and visible landscape features such as soil, vegetation, forests, buildings and other art buildings. In contrast, the DTM ZH (GIS-ZH No. 298) depicts the earth’s surface on the ground. Whole cantonal area incl. 500 m buffer.
